Quiet Adornments. It doesn’t demand attention. It simply accompanies you.
A small studio working with natural stone. We pick rough that still shows its mineral grain, pair it with braided cord and understated metalwork, and check every finished piece by hand under daylight before it goes in a box.
This one isn’t for sale. I made it for my daughter a few years ago, before Leaferry was a shop. Everything else here is checked the same way — by hand, one at a time.
A Short List, Before You Buy Anything.
What we make, who makes it, and what this shop is not.
Natural Stone, Worn Every Day.
We make pieces for people who keep wearing the same two or three things for years — who like the weight of real stone and don’t need it to sparkle. Everything here is sized and finished to survive a commute, a workday, and a normal amount of neglect.
What it is
- Natural stone. Jade, quartz, labradorite, opal. Cut from rough, so grain and color shift from piece to piece.
- Metal chosen to suit the design — antiqued bronze, plated finishes, tarnish-resistant alloy, or solid 925 sterling silver. The listing names the one used.
- A small studio. One person checking every order, working with a handful of specialized workshops.
- Everyday weight. Pieces made to be worn, not stored.
What it isn’t
- Not fine jewelry. No heirloom diamonds, no investment pieces.
- Not identical. You won’t receive the exact stone in a photo — you’ll receive one cut from the same rough.
- Not one metal across the range. Bronze, plated finishes, alloy, and solid 925 silver all appear — the listing tells you which.
- Not seasonal. No drops, no countdown timers, no fake markdowns.

How the stone gets chosen, who makes the piece, what gets checked, and how to keep it.
Curated in Small Workshops. Checked One by One.
Pieces come from a few specialized workshops — wire settings, braided cord, stone cutting. We choose stones for grain rather than uniformity, and every finished piece is checked by one person under daylight before it ships.
The Grain Stays
We look for stones that still show where they came from — grey-green jade with cloudy patches, labradorite that shifts as you turn it, quartz with visible veining. Polished to a uniform finish, a stone stops being interesting. We pass on those.
Specific Hands, Specific Techniques
Wire settings come from one workshop, braided cord from another. We don’t claim every piece was forged in a cabin by hand — what’s true is smaller: each part is made where that particular technique is done well.
Checked Under Daylight
Before anything is boxed: clasp tension, cord knots, sharp edges against the skin, and a wipe-down of the stone.
The Whole Routine
Take it off before swimming, showering, or perfume. Store stones apart from harder metals so they don’t scratch. Plated finishes will wear with daily friction — that is normal, not a fault. Wipe with a dry cloth.
An Engineer’s Eye. A Father’s Start.
How one jade pendant, made for a daughter, turned into a shop.
It Started With One Stone That Was Never Meant for Sale.
Before Leaferry, I spent more than ten years as a software engineer. My days ran on logic, screens, and systems that updated by the millisecond. At home, as a father of two daughters, I wanted to make something physical that belonged to a slower clock.
The first piece I ever shaped by hand was a small jade leaf pendant for my daughter. That evening I sat down with a rotary burr, a water tray, and a piece of rough stone — and for a few hours nothing else was in the room. It was never a business plan, and it was never meant to be sold. The pendant is still in our house.
We don’t sell shine. We take something that sat in the ground for millions of years and put it in your hand.
Working that stone taught me two things. Natural grain has a presence no factory plastic imitates. And an everyday object feels different when someone has actually held it, checked its edges, and cared about how it sits on the skin.
Today I run Leaferry on that same standard — clear specifications, real quality checks, and personal accountability on every order.
Why the name “Leaferry”
The first green thing out of the ground. It doesn’t hurry.
A boat crossing water. Slow, steady, no wake.
What Shows Up at Your Door.
Packaging, care guidance, and shipping — the practical part.
Four Layers, Ready to Hand Over.
Jewelry is usually bought for a birthday or an anniversary. Every order is packed layer by layer — it survives transit, arrives ready to give without repackaging, and leaves you with a box worth keeping.
A Green Drawer Box
Textured paper over board, with a black ribbon pull and a dark matte lining. Left unprinted on the outside so it stays useful on a dresser.
A Sealed Pouch Around the Piece
Each piece is sealed in its own EVA pouch before boxing — it keeps moisture out in transit and stops the cord and setting taking a knock against the box.
An Outer Mailer, Sealed with a Sticker
A rigid deep coffee-brown box, closed with a printed fold-over sticker rather than tape. Inside, everything is bedded in paper shred so nothing shifts in transit.
A Care Card
When to take your piece off, how to store it, and what not to do. One card, no small print.
A Cleaning Cloth
Soft, folded flat, big enough to actually use. Complimentary shipping across the United States on orders of $89 or more.
